Representatives from the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences and InfoSolutions recently participated in an interactive and engaging workshop titled "Climate Transformation of Wrocław and the Construction Sector," organized by the Wrocław City Office in collaboration with the Centre for Systems Solutions and Think Tank Miasto.
The event, held on May 15, 2024, at the Wrocław City Office, aimed to collaboratively develop a plan to reduce carbon dioxide emissions in the construction and housing sectors. The workshop provided a platform for participants to understand the expectations and interdependencies between different stakeholders in the sector, with a particular focus on the impact of the European Commission's Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) on businesses, housing cooperatives, and communities.
The workshop was the first in a series of four meetings organized as part of the NEEST project, "NetZero Emission and Environmentally Sustainable Territories," which is a key initiative under Wrocław’s mission to be one of the "100 Climate-Neutral Cities by 2030" as endorsed by the European Commission.
The involvement of Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences and InfoSolutions underscores their commitment to contributing valuable expertise and insights to the development of sustainable solutions for Wrocław's future. More information about the event available here.
