Today, we officially launched a captivating project DigiTwins4PEDs, aimed at revolutionizing the energy transformation of urban areas. Titled "Utilisation of urban digital twins to co-create flexible positive energy systems for districts," this ambitious project brings together teams from different regions - Germany, Netherlands, Poland, and Austria, determined to accelerate changes towards sustainable energy.
Leading Objective: The DigiTwins4PEDs project was initiated in response to the growing challenges associated with the transition to clean energy and the imperative to engage society in this process. Our goal is to create living laboratories for residents, enabling them to co-create Positive Energy Districts (PEDs) in their neighborhoods.
Kickoff Meeting: During the November kickoff meeting, national and international teams joined forces, defining strategies, goals, and action plans for the coming months. This unique meeting marks the starting point for innovative solutions that are poised to reshape the energy landscape of our cities.
Agenda of a kick-off meeting:
- Greetings and introduction by all project members
- Recap of the project proposal (goals, objectives, WPs, etc) and timeline (revision to GANTT chart)
- Planning of work for the next 3 - 6 months (deliverables and milestones)
